Each Category and entry have specific criteria that must met to qualify as a potential winning piece.

Students will enter the contest at the Branch level (i.e. students in Guelph will be competing at Branch 234), winners will be sent to the Zone C2 level, winners will continue on to the District C level, then Provincial level, and finally winners of the National level (aside from a cash prize) will have the opportunity for their entry to be displayed for a year at the Canadian War Museum, and 2nd and 3rd place winners in the Poster entries will be displayed in the House of Commons during the Remembrance period in November 2020.

We encourage Teachers to provide classroom time to allow Students the opportunity to create submissions.  If classroom time is not an option, we would urge you to provide the criteria for making submissions so that Students can work on their piece at home.

THE DEADLINE FOR THE 2019 POSTER AND LITERARY CONTEST IS:  FRIDAY NOVEMBER 15, 2019

All entries are to be delivered, preferably as a school package, to Guelph Legion 57 Watson Pkwy S during legion office hours - Mon 1:00-5:00, Wed 1:00-5:00, Fri 1:00-5:00

I look forward to receiving a record number of entries this year!  It has been a little while since Guelph has had winners go on to the Provincial and National levels, let's all work together to have that happen this year, and bring some attention to Guelph and the amazing Youth that make up our City!
